This morning, our CEO Jennifer Glass, presented to a room full of business professionals, owners and interested parties on ways businesses can use the electronic payment programs available today, and programs CCNJ will be rolling out in the next few months to help them grow. Ms. Glass also touched on ways that online businesses can protect their interests from friendly fraud (cardholder disputes/chargebacks) as well as ways that retail businesses can prevent fraudulent transactions taking place in store.

With friendly-fraud increasing, coupled with more stringent chargeback regulations from the credit card issuers, merchants have little choice but to dedicate more time and energy to curbing chargebacks. Chargebacks (also known as customer disputes) should not be thought of as a cost of doing business, even if you are under the 1% threshold; but rather as a chance to recover lost revenues and remain in good standing with the card associations.
